Saturday 10/11/14, today’s Captiva fishing charter: Jaw dropping fishing.

Today Captain Joey took out two charters for a day of truly jaw dropping fishing.

On Captain Joey’s first charter, he took Floyd, the Fishing King of Captiva, to fish for redfish inshore of Captiva. There they found an unbelievably huge school of redfish, they guess over 5,000, and were tripling and quadrupling up on them for over two straight hours.

Then Captain Joey took out his second charter. They decided to fish offshore of Captiva Island. There, they caught some massive gag grouper, along with two goliath grouper!

The next two months of fishing will be unbelievable, so come on down and book a charter now!

Friday 10/10/14, today’s Captiva fishing charter: Bonita offshore of Captiva Island.

Today Captain Joey took Nick, Ed, and Andy fishing offshore of Captiva.

There, they found schools on bonita, a small species of tuna, and were tripling up on them!

Wednesday, 10/8/14, today’s Captiva fishing charter: Bull shark caught inshore of Sanibel Island.

Today Captain Joey took out two charters.

First, Captain Joey took his morning charter to Redfish Pass. There they caught some big mangrove snapper, a few jacks, and a surprise snook!

Then captain Joey took his second charter shark fishing inshore of Sanibel Island. They did not have to wait long before they set the hook on this nice five foot bull shark!

After about a ten minute fight they brought this big boy onto the boat, removed the hook out of his mouth, took this photo, than safely real eased him back to the water which he came. Our captains here on captivafishing.net do not kill sharks.

The fishing is amazing this time of year, sharks are biting, schools of fish offshore, and the redfish school up on the flats. So come on down, book a charter, and let us bring a smile onto your face.

Sunday, 10/5/14, today’s Captiva fishing charter: Threadfin herring offshore of Captiva and Sanibel Island.

Miles upon miles of threadfin herring have moved in offshore of Captiva Island, bringing with them bonita, spanish mackerel, sharks, and even tarpon which follow the schools and feed upon them.
