On todays Captiva fishing charter, Captains Joey and Josh took out charters.

Captain Joey took his first charter offshore of Sanibel where they caught some truly massive gag grouper. One beast was a massive 16 pounds!

Then Captain Joey fished inshore on his second charter. He took his charter to the Captiva oyster bar where they caught a lot of large snook, and one giant sea trout.

On Captain Josh’s charter, they did some kid friendly fishing in Redfish Pass. There the kids enjoyed catching lots of ladyfish, which is always good action!

Today, both of our captains completed in Captiva rod and gun club fishing tournament.

In the competition whoever catches the most length of fish from the sum of a snook, a redfish and sea trout wins.

Captain Joey won first place, and Captain Josh won second place!

On today’s Captiva fishing charter … okay they didn’t exactly noodle this redfish, but it was close!

For some reason that only he can explain, Charlie felt compelled to jump off the boat late this afternoon to make sure we landed this redfish!

Hank, always looking for any excuse to  jump in the water and ever loyal, followed Charlie within milliseconds.  Milliseconds may be overstating the time lag.  The redfish may have just been stunned into submission by the double impact.

As evidenced by the photo, we got the redfish!

On today’s Captiva fishing charter, engine trouble in the morning but then we got things turned around.  Mike and a nice redfish around 5 PM!

Good fishing … we caught redfish, blue fish, snook, ladyfish and jack crevalle!
