Saturday, 3/22/14, Captiva Fishing Report: Tarpon, Bayside, Captiva ~ Sanibel, Captiva & North Captiva, #Captiva

Tarpon, Captiva, 3-22-14 ~ Sanibel & Captiva Islands & Fort Myers Charters & Fishing Guide Service.
Tarpon, Captiva, 3-22-14 ~ Sanibel & Captiva Islands & Fort Myers Charters & Fishing Guide Service.

On today’s Captiva fishing charter, encountered a bunch of tarpon rolling on the bayside of Captiva!  Pretty fun development because the rest of the day was slow due to the weak tides.

The water has started to warm up, so these might be “local resident” tarpon that have become active and moved out the river or some place nearby.  The big migration of tarpon moving north won’t happen for another 4-6 weeks.

Tried to hook one but didn’t have any success!  Will try again tomorrow!
