Thursday, 8/11/11 … Charlie & Tim & plenty of snook

Tim & Snook.

Good charter this morning.  We had some showers, but the weather held.

Charlie & Snook at Blind Pass.

Spent most of the mornbing in Blind Pass with Charlie and Tim.

We caught and released lots of snook and kept a couple of nice sea trout.

Charlie got bored with the ease of catching snook so we headed out into the bay to see if we could hook a bull shark.

The tide was changing so the sharks weren’t biting.

In the afternoon, in an odd occurrence, we had to rescue a dog who had jumped into the water at Castaways and just kept swimming out to sea.

We headed to Cayo Costa in the afternoon for some shelling.

Out with Charlie and Tim again tomorrow morning for more snook and a bull shark, if we are lucky.

Wednesday, 8/10/11 … spent the morning dodging the rain

Storm rolling in off Captiva.

The rain has been tough this week.

We spent the morning charter dodging the storms but we eventually got soaked.

Huge storms rolled-in in the afternoon, so we cancelled the charter.

Tomorrow and the rest of the week is supposed to be better.

Tuesday, 8/9/11 … more snook, trout and redfish off Sanibel & Captiva

Nice snook!

Another good charter today.

Redfish off Captiva.

Caught lots of snook & trout, and a few reds fishing today between Sanibel & Captiva.

We’re really doing well with catch and release snook.  It is good to see them repopulating this area after 2010’s brutal cold snap killed thousands of snook.
