This is one of the more common big sharks you will catch in these waters.

This one is about seven feet long and about 100 lb., which is large but not that unusual.

So if you want big fish or small fish, we will find them for you!

Well, the Bill Geist piece on Sanibel & Captiva on CBS Sunday Morning must have been pushed back a week or two, but we caught a hog snapper, a species of fish you don’t usually see in the waters of Sanibel & Captiva, so we’re still happy.

This is a beautiful example of this colorful and fun fish!

Okay … we’re doing two posts today because we have been busy with three Sanibel Captiva fishing charters a day lately …

The fishing is very good and we’re stating to move into the height of the spring season … so lots of fishing stories!

This little fellow was quite the good angler and caught a nice ladyfish.  I told him he was such a good fisherman that I’d get him up on the site!

He and his family had a great Sanibel & Captiva fishing outing and caught lots of fish!

The tarpon should start moving inshore in approximately three weeks. Remember to book a charter early if you want to catch one!
