Saturday, 8/13/11 … 7th anniversary of Hurricane Charley; rainbow over Captiva

Rainbow over Captiva, August 13, 2011, 7th anniversary of Hurricane Charley.

Today was the seventh anniversary of Hurricane Charley, which hit Captiva on Frday, August 13th, 2004.

We dodged storms today, but the weather was a whole lot better than it was seven years ago.

Goliath grouper, caught and released off Blind Pass in the gulf.

We caught some ladyfish on fly rods and saw a nice rainbow as we were dodging the summer storms.

We then headed out to the gulf to fish a wreck for goliath grouper.  Caught one but the gulf was a bit rough so we headed in to Castaways.

All in all, a good fishing charter and not bad a bad way to celebrate

Fair winds and following seas,

Captain Joey Burnsed ~ call 239-472-8658 or email captjoefred@gmail to book a Sanibel & Captiva fishing charter.
