Today I took the day off, so I thought I would make a post about my first Tarpon!

I caught this 160 pound fish back in 1986, I was six years old. I caught him at Redfish Pass, while fishing for Sharks!

On today’s charter we went to Blind Pass to get away from all the Bonita for a change.

We caught a lot of Sea Trout, Redfish, Catfish, and a few Snook!

On today’s charter we went Shark fishing!  We went over to Captiva Pass, where we spent time fishing for Spanish Mackerel while waiting for a Shark to take the bait.

After about a hour of waiting we had a bite!  After about a 15 minute fight we landed this four foot long 100 pound Black Tip Shark!  As always we took a few pictures and safely then we released him.

On today’s charter we went offshore of Captiva to a old ship wreck.  There we caught Grouper, Spanish Mackerel, Sharks, Snapper, and a few small Stingrays!

On today’s charter we went offshore of Captiva to fish a old ship wreck. At first we were catching Snapper and small Grouper.

Then we switched over to fishing for Goliath Grouper, we caught two fish both were over 150 pounds!

And finally with only a hour left we moved to a new spot about a mile down shore and that is where we caught this huge Cobia!

On today’s charter we went first went offshore of Captiva to fish for Bonita. There were a few, but as many as we hoped so we decided to switch gears and go shark fishing!

We went to Redfish Pass to fish for Sharks.  We had far better luck at Redfish Pass, we caught and released over 30 small Sharks within two hours!
