Today we decided to take a break from tarpon and go fishing for smaller fish like trout, mackerel, and ladyfish.

We had a great time catching trout and mackerel!

After we caught the 170 lb. tarpon at Boca Grand pass we decided to go fish for a Goliath Grouper!

After about 45 minutes we finally had a bite!  The fish was so big that it almost pulled Tim overboard with him!  We took a lot of pictures of him before we let him go.

All in all a great day of fishing!

Charlie caught this 170 lb. tarpon at Boca Grand Pass today!

The fight took about 20 minutes and this was the biggest fish we have landed this year!

Today we took Charlie and his friend Nate up to Boca Grande to go tarpon fishing!

We lost our first fish, but five minutes later we hooked-up this 150 pounder!

We then spent the next 45+ minutes fighting the fish!

When we finally had her close to the boat, we were near the beach so we got to jump in and get a great photo!

We released the tarpon and off she went.  Hope to catch another tomorrow!

After that, we decided to go trout fishing.  In jus 30 minutes, we had caught over 30 trout, seven of them which were keepers!

Overall a great day of fishing!

Redfish are a good eating fish, and they give a great fight!

This is a tarpon that we beached at Boca Grand pass. We are happy to say right after we took this picture we released the fish in good health.

This is a beautiful looking fish called a Hog Snapper!  We caught this fish last month on a charter, while fishing offshore.

This fish is rare around here so if you are really lucky you can catch one!
